Show Blurb:
“This group show is comprised of work from the students in the final colour photo class at NSCAD University. The removal of colour photography from the curriculum at the school is symbolic of the
greater shifts within the photographic community at large and this show both marks the end of an era at NSCAD and presents a diverse range of approaches to the increasingly rare practice of analog colour
printing.”
This show, which just ended yesterday, consisted of work from the last color photo class at NSCAD from the past winter semester. This summer, the processor and color darkrooms were completely removed from the school and traditional photography will no longer be available at the school. The show marks the end of the analog color process at NSCAD and also in it’s slow death in the world of photography at large.
Below are images from the gallery and my contributions to the show. Please note that this was a group show and, unfortunately, I was only allowed to take photos of my own work.
My contribution was made up of images from my final for the class which were textures. The 5 that were set aside from the others, had the common theme of being poles and places where fliers are frequently attached.
